Appreciation Vs Expectation

“Trade your expectation for appreciation and the world changes instantly.” ~ Tony Robbins

[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”125380″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][vc_column][vc_column_text] I recently watched a video by Tony Robbins where he talked about attraction and appreciation and it made me want to explore that topic a bit, especially since it is Valentine’s Day. A lot of people automatically think of romantic connections when they think of attraction but this concept can apply to almost any relationship. What attracts you to certain people? And what attracts them to you? His belief is that if you want to be more attractive to more people then you have to make a conscious decision to live in a beautiful state of mind. [/vc_column_text][vc_column_text] Think about the people in your life. Who do you enjoy spending the most amount of time with? Most likely the people you like and want to spend time with are happy, positive and generous people. If someone is negative and constantly complaining about everything, you probably won’t want to spend much time with them. People gravitate to those who are sincere, optimistic, playful and loving. In my experience, the happiest people are the ones that consistently practice gratitude in their daily lives. [/vc_column_text][vc_column_text] Appreciation is a mindset. It doesn’t mean that your life is perfect, rather it is the ability to see the good even through difficult times. To be grateful for what you do have in your life at any given moment. It is letting go and not obsessing over things you can’t control. Instead, change your expectations and focus on the things you can control and the positive things you can do. Once you start to see and appreciate all the love that surrounds you, I guarantee it will multiply and attract more of it into your life. [/vc_column_text][vc_column_text] Essentially it is the law of attraction; like attracts like. So in order to attract more people into your life, the key is to start by appreciating the people and things you currently have. When you are grateful for everything you do have, you will continue to attract more positive things into your life.  As I mentioned earlier, the happiest people I know are also the ones that appreciate everything they have. They focus on the positive and things they can control and let go of the things they have no control over. People naturally gravitate towards them because being around them is an enjoyable experience. So the ability to practice gratitude is essential to being more attractive to others. It starts with you and your mindset. The more positive you are, the more people will gravitate towards you. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
